About Our Organization

About Us

The Little hearts society was established in 1996 with an aim to provide a spectrum of services for populations who are particularly marginalized and excluded. Over the years,  the organization has catered to orphaned children, children with intellectual disability, destitute adults with mental illness, children living in slums and children living in abject poverty and vulnerable situations

Little hearts began in a rented home with a few mentally challenged children from impoverished families. Basic shelter and attentive rehabilitation services were offered but the need for such services was clearly realized and soon the organization grew to accommodate  changing needs. In 2001, Little hearts was registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies registration act and currently works out of 7 districts in the state with support from the Government of Tamil Nadu as well as independent philanthropic entities
